Deployed has two commercial features: The Commercial Wizard, and the Commercial Schedule. The Wizard consists of questions that you answer to help build the Commercial Schedule for your project needs, and the Commercial Schedule is the modified table that you can fill in your pricing details.
Commercial Wizard
When you come the section on pricing and commercials in your document, a question will appear to ask you what pricing model you have selected to pay a supplier in. This could be Fixed Price, Time and Materials, or Cost Plus.
Based on your response, the Commercial Wizard will trigger and follow up with some questions to help create the right table for you. For example, a question may appear that asks you how you want the payments, whether that’s a lump sum or milestone-based instalments, or if there is a payment incentive included.
Once the Commercial Wizard has been completed and routed you to a particular payment schedule, instead of a question that you have to answer, you will be asked to start a Commercial Schedule.
Commercial Schedule
1. Click "Start." This will take you to a schedule that you can fill out. The headings for each Commercial Schedule will be slightly different depending on your outcome from the Commercial Wizard.
There are 96 different ways that the Commercial Schedule will look, based on the Wizard's outcome. Here is a complex example of a schedule, and yours may look different, but the overall customisation process is the same.
The example below is a Time & Materials Commercial Schedule, with both Time and Material costs, allocated to specific deliverables, with a performance incentive, and payments are scheduled in deliverable based instalments.
2. In each grey card, you can click into them and complete the different categories, which will help the platform perform price calculations in the Statement of Work.
3. The first grey box will ask you for the Rate Type, and will ask you to select "Hourly" or "Daily."
4. You will then be asked to input the number or hours, or number of days.
5. The second grey box will ask you for the Tax Rate as a percentage.
6. The third and last grey box will ask you to fill out any Performance Incentives.
7. Scroll down to the bottom of the window to add costs. These are split into different tabs depending on the type of commercial schedule, and the information that you have included from the grey cards above.
8. As an example, to add a time cost for a Time and Materials commercial schedule, click the blue "Set Rate Type."
9. Complete the fields for each of your time costs, and click the "Save" icon next to the Grey "Delete" icon.
You can add multiple time costs by clicking the "Add" button.
10. Continue to the next tab and add your Material Costs, similarly to the rate type.
11. Continue to add the Deliverable Payment Schedule.
12. Once you are happy with the schedule and ensured that you have entered in the correct information, click "OK." You will return to the normal screen view, where the Commercial Schedule will be populated as a table on the right side of the document.
If the values and instalments don't match the total cost, an error will appear for you to correct the commercials.
There are many different ways that you could fill out this table, so this example may not match yours.
